Yesterday Johanna and I were talking about Braeden turning one today. She said, “so Braeden will no longer be…..” I completed here sentence as she paused with the word “zero.” Braeden is officially no longer zero, and today has turned one year old. His age will no longer be an accumulation of months, but years. This past year flew by so quickly.
It seems like just a couple of days ago that Braeden came into the world. In this past year we’ve watched him grow, crawl, climb, fall down, cry, feed himself with utensils, grow a couple teeth, and most of smile. He has the most infectious smile and lights my world.
We have been so busy this past year and haven’t had the chance to take many professional photos. So we decided to take a couple photos of Braeden for his first birthday. They didn’t turn out as we had anticipated as the location didn’t pan out, but we did get a couple gems.
For his first birthday Jolene wanted to do a nautical theme. We got Braeden an extra smash cake. We had hoped to get a good smiling photo of him, however he only got two small naps. So he was only a little bit unamused by the entire ordeal.
He got lots of toys. Toys that he will get lots of enjoyment with. Thank you to everyone who came and experienced this special day. Sorry I don’t really know who gave what since the kids opened everything so quickly. Thanks anyways. Your presence rather than presents mean so much more.
